People who are healthy physically can go on to lead fulfilling lives filled with happiness and positive energy even when the quality of that life may be affected by factors outside of their control such as negative health conditions or aging. Those with mental well being are able to appreciate and take advantage of opportunities, even when they may not appear to do so due to depression, worry or stress. Emotional well-being is anchored in the ability to love and be loved, while being physically healthy is about the capacity to sustain normal body functions.

Because mental health has become associated with all the aspects of life that people want and need, it has become difficult for researchers to separate the causes of mental illness from the causes of other physical illness. For instance, a person with high anxiety may develop physical illness such as heart disease. Researchers believe that this is caused by the way the person perceives the world around them and their own health. Other causes of physical illness can include smoking tobacco or taking in medications that affect the immune system or affect brain chemistry. Mental illness, on the other hand, can develop because of environmental factors or poor nutrition.

After reading it I was very impressed with how easy and fun (even though challenging at times) getting fit can be for today’s busy, marathon-running, texting, emailing, etc. society. The author rightly points out that there are plenty of excuses to avoid getting into shape but if you’re not in shape, it’s a pain in the butt to pretend you are. Fitness, or lack thereof, is something we all have to deal with in our busy lives so this book provides some useful insights on how to make fitness fun again while also shedding some light on how easy it really is. The author also includes a couple pages on some fabulous silverskinned fabrics that are sure to add a touch of stylish flair to your wardrobe.


Fitness is much more than a time-consuming chore or an annoying obstacle. Fitness is a lifestyle choice that will benefit you health-wise and confidence-wise for many years to come. There is a ton of support available on /r/fit which makes it a great place to get inspiration and support from other redditors who are also trying to get fit. I like the honesty of the Fitfulness book and the message that you can look forward to being healthier, fitter and sexier. In recent years the National Institute of Health (NIH), in collaboration with the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), has produced a series of guidelines on the definition and maintenance of the standard definition of health. The definition of health is a summary of the science that integrates understanding of human biology, nutrition, medical knowledge, and psychosocial concerns. According to this definition, health is the sum of the whole body’s health and its function that is maintained by appropriate food intake, active lifestyle, and a reasonable amount of physical activity for an individual’s capacity to attain health and the ability to preserve health.


According to the current NCCAM guideline, five major determinants are important in determining a person’s health status: age, body size, genetic and physiological features, lifestyle choices, and environmental risks. The five determinants help to explain how and why diseases develop or progress. For example, as people get older their weight increases and decreases because of the impact of age and general health declines. Similarly, genetically determined differences between people lead to differences in BMI that can lead to different health risks or goals. Lifestyle choices or habits also have a direct impact on health and these include the amount of alcohol and caffeine that a person consumes, whether or not a person engages in regular exercise, and the frequency and duration of use of recreational drugs such as marijuana and heroin.

The above factors are considered to be determinants of health status. In addition, they are associated with the five defining features of health – age, body size, genetic and physiological features, lifestyle choices or habits, and environmental risks or threats. These features may be thought of as the underlying structure underlying health disorders and health conditions. There is much ongoing research in the field of health and disease, ranging from basic studies to more complex and advanced studies.

A Unique Twist on Fitness

In an earlier article I wrote about Fitness, its relationship to Reddit and the blog team. Fitness was a concept that came out of a very deep and personal experience for me. While doing research on fitness issues for a book I wrote, I discovered a very interesting phenomena. The Silversingingles blog team was then added to the Fitness project. Fitness is defined as a state of comfort and/or well being. In my own experiences within the Fitness project, I found that some of the single guys and gals that I met on the fitness forums and message boards tended to be quite fit, but had nothing to add to their fitness or health profile. This made it difficult for many of these single men and women to actively participate in the fitness dating scene.

The Fitness brand is a new spin on the Fitness formula. Rather than trying to create an awareness of fitness through an online community or forum, we decided to develop the editorials and articles to present the information we had uncovered. The results have been impressive, and beyond our expectations. From the responses I have seen from the singles that have gone through the Fitness system, I am convinced that the Fitness brand will be effective in helping to create more active lifestyles for both men and women.
