Eat For Energy
Food is any material consumed to supply nutrition to an individual. In the simplest sense food is anything that someone eats to live. Generally speaking food is of animal, plant or fungus origin, and is generally rich in various essential nutrients, including proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, or other minerals. We have enough food in this world to support human life for a long time without running out. Unfortunately, humans are not evenly distributed over the globe, and some people have very different needs than others, resulting in very limited amounts of food on the table for all of us.
So how do you feed everyone? The answer is to carefully plan a diet in which each of the major food groups are well represented, so that there is something for everyone. The foods that will provide the most nutrients are usually the ones with the highest levels of fibre, which is what the diet should be based around. Fibre provides many of the important macronutrients such as protein, starch and minerals, so it is very important.
The best way to ensure that you get a balance of the right macronutrients and healthy fat is to eat several smaller meals throughout the day. For example, if you are going to eat three eggs, you could divide them into three separate meals. By separating the food, you are ensuring that you are consuming enough calories (weight) for your daily requirements. Also by making different choices of eggs, you are providing a wide range of flavours to satisfy any taste. Also, by providing a variety of food types, you are increasing your chances of eating less fat and more fibre. This in turn, will help you lose weight more efficiently.
